These are message's from our pulpit.  This is not the 'actual' message, the only way to get the gist of the sermon is to have witnessed it in person.  These are only my thoughts and opinions, not those of the minister.  I have left space to hear what you received from these messages.

I'm glad that I KNOW, that I KNOW, that I KNOW!

I'm glad that I KNOW, that I KNOW, that I KNOW!

 II KINGS 4:1-7

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.

And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.

So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.

And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

The story is not new, it has been told over and over again for hundreds of years.  Like many things we are taught there is a time when the lesson 'clicks' and all of a sudden it makes sense.

Tonight, for the first time of many, I heard the 'click' and my heart and brain connected.  No matter what your need, God will supply it.

I am going to add a testimony on the forum page  explaining what happened after I stepped out 'by faith' and did what I felt as I heard this message.

Here was a widow with sons who were about to be taken from her and sold into slavery to pay her debts.  She didn't run away and hide hoping everything would turn out okay.  No, she turned to a man of God for advice.

First he asked her what she had, God will expect you to use what you have/know in order to survive.  When she replied that all she had was a single pot of oil he told her to go to people she knew, neighbors and friends, and borrow many pots.  The bible actually says 'not a few', he wanted to make sure she got as many empty pots as she could.

Next he told her to go into her home with her sons, 'shut the door', and to pour oil into the empty pots.  Close off the world and be alone with family and God and let his power change your life. Take the knowledge and help others have loaned you and listen to God's word. When she asked for another empty vessel her son told her there were no more.

She then went back to the man of God and told him what had happened.  He told her to sell the oil and to pay off her debt.  She was then to use the rest to support herself and her sons.

God not only supplied her present need but gave her the means to support herself and her family. Without faith in God she would never had done this and she would have lost her whole family.

I'm glad that I KNOW, that I KNOW, that I KNOW!

God is real and if we give him our faith he will supply our need.  Give our all; heart, mind and soul.  Keep nothing back.  Give it all to him and he will return it to you..

Luke 6:38a
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.

Many Signs of a Risen Savior

Many Signs of a Risen Savior

John 30:19-31

Keith Carson 4/18/12

Signs were given so we might have life and have it more abundantly.

Women who went to anoint the body of Jesus wondered who would roll away the stone blocking His tomb.

The stone was gone.

A great earthquake and an angel caused the stone to roll away giving them access.

Guards were placed by the tomb to keep anyone from stealing the body.

The keepers were as dead men when the angels came.  Later they were offered money to lie and say the disciples stole His body.

Angel said “He is not here, go tell the disciples”

Disciples’ did not believe the women.  They ran to the tomb to discover for themselves that He was not there.

People will believe a lie before they will believe the truth.

Linen clothes and napkin were folded and placed neatly in the tomb.

Jesus’ body had been wrapped in linen and his head wrapped by a napkin, yet when the people entered the tomb they found them folded and placed where His body had lain.  A note was left saying He was gone.

Disciple saw him on the road and thought he was a spirit.  He told them to touch Him and know he was flesh and bone.  He also asked them to bring food as he was hungry.

Because of the signs we know He died and rose again.  Because of we live life to the fullest knowing our sins are forgiven and we have promise of eternal life.

II Samuel 11:1-5 11-27
II Samuel 12:1-14

This is the story of David and Batsheba wife of Uriah the Hittite.  David should have been in battle but instead tarried in Jerusalem.  Had David been where he should have been he would not have been in a place to be tempted.

Had his mind been on God and about His business he would have turned away when he saw the woman bathing on her roof.  After asking his servants about the woman and being told she was the wife of another he sent them to bring her to him. He took her and she came into him and he lay with her.

Bathsheba conceived and sent him a message telling him she was with child.

David tried to cover up his sin by having Uriah the Hittite sent home from the battle. He fed him meat from his table  then told him to go home and be with his wife.

When the servants later told David Uriah had not went in and slept with his wife he went to see him.  He asked him to stay a few days more.

David wrote a letter, sending it back to battle with Uriah, giving order for the man to be place at the front of the war.  Te man was killed.  David was now guilty of adultery and murder all because he was not in the place he should have been.

Are we placing ourselves in a place where we could fall from Gods favor as David did?  Are we placing ourselves with Godly people  so our walk will become stronger and through that walk we will be a testimony unto Him?  I pray that I stay where God wants me to be.

We read on how David's actions angered God.  David had all he wanted and could get anything by asking God for it.  By not being were he was supposed to be he not only lost God's favor but the child Bathsheba was carrying became ill and died.  No matter how much David prayed begging God to spare him it was not to be.

Look where you are and if it is not where God wants you then pray and seek His advice.
